One winter evening in 2024, Resonance brought together John Haycock, DBH, and Peter Lee for an unrepeatable performance in the Calder Valley, culminating in a DJ set from Adam Resonance. The venue's natural frequencies provided foundational ambient tones, the building itself becoming an instrument in the evening's composition.
My role was to craft a site-specific light show that responded to both the architectural character and the evolving musical narrative. Using a deliberately alchemical approach, white light split through various media into infinite hues, symbolising the transpersonal nature of collective experience. Time delay and feedback effects mirrored hermetic principles of 'as above, so below'.

Working with SK Projections, we positioned eight projectors throughout the space, creating an immersive environment of thoughtfully positioned light. The custom-built animations, controlled live, integrated Pendafen's oscilloscope patterns with my hand-made visuals, creating a cohesive visual system that responded to and enhanced each performer's unique approach to sound. The result was a singular evening where architecture, sound, and light merged into one conscious experience.
