For several years, I've collaborated with Slacky, an enigmatic northern underground powerhouse, translating their sonic experimentation into visual form. My work for the label focuses on highly textured, process-driven designs that mirror the music's experimental nature.

The label's semi-regular gatherings at Todmorden's Golden Lion have become nexus points for Yorkshire's underground music community. Each event demands visuals that capture this convergence of creative energy.

My design process for their Space Ritual events embraces intentional degradation. Each piece evolves through multiple iterations of scanning, distorting, photographing, and physical manipulation. The result embodies both wear and vitality - designs with distorted edges that retain a functional core, effectively driving record sales and event attendance while preserving the label's mysterious character.

This project exemplifies the translation of music's physical texture into visual language, where process and degradation become tools for authentic expression.
