A Michelin-starred restaurant nestled in the Welsh hills approached me to create a gatefold vinyl compilation that would capture their unique atmosphere. The establishment, which employs resident vinyl DJ J-CUB, wanted to offer guests a tangible piece of their experience to take home.
Taking inspiration from their meal structure of prelude and service, the design employs a deliberate duality: two muted greens sampled from the restaurant's Chesterfield furnishings, applied to opposite covers. The gatefold reveals a single, striking photograph of the establishment upon opening.
The physical interaction with the product mirrors a guest's journey - from approaching the mysterious hillside location to discovering the luxurious interior. Embossed elements add tactile sophistication, reinforcing the premium nature of the experience.
This project demonstrates the translation of a multi-sensory dining experience into a tangible object that preserves both memory and atmosphere.
