This warm, approachable DIY music video emerged from time spent with one of my long-time collaborators, Wizold Sage.
Jacob is a law unto himself - living with his grandparents, tending to house and garden rather than pursuing traditional employment. His abundant spare time fills with fantasy worlds, otherworldly music and transcendent art projects, created under countless aliases. He's the most untapped creative individual I've ever encountered, and every meeting with him and his equally gifted brother Charlie brims with whimsey, love and pure creativity.
The video was created by presence, about presence. I stayed with the brothers and we manifested the music, visuals and atmosphere in one fell swoop. The result sits somewhere between glam rock mockumentary, magic ritual, Jungian journey and candid portrait of one brother helping another to make something cool.
Since the song explores being present and going with the flow, we embraced that spirit fully - creating the whole thing in two days without fixating on any particular aspect beyond enjoying the process. It's silly, heartfelt, rough around the edges and ridiculously present... here we are!
