Leeds' DIY Punk Jazz Dance Festival has been a consistent collaborator since its inception, providing an annual canvas for visual experimentation that mirrors the evolution of their programming. Our partnership embodies the same experimental spirit as the grassroots jazz acts that grace their stages.

Each iteration demands its own unique visual translation - from fractal animations with self-evolving typography, to PlayStation 2-era Tony Hawk's-inspired 3D animations. While the festival maintains no fixed branding between events, this creative freedom has contributed to consistent sell-out success.
The design approach is deliberately selective in its audience engagement. Each piece is crafted to catch the eye of the alternatively-minded while remaining invisible to the mainstream gaze - a visual filter which speaks directly to the festival's community.
This project exemplifies how design can maintain authenticity through constant evolution, proving that strong identity can emerge from creative freedom, rather than rigid consistency.
