In the summer of 2024, I embarked with an LDV Convoy loaded with art materials, projectors, pasta and a couple of microphones, traversing the British Isles. The intention was to navigate an intuited and ritualistic route along leylines and sacred sites, establishing dialogue with ancestors of significance ranging from my own lineage to minor celebrities - all while inscribing a highly important sigil upon the energetic grid through my movements in time and space.
Each evening's ritual would begin at 6pm, grounding in sustenance and site-specific atmospheric integration before the metaphysical work commenced. The process demanded deep listening - tuning in and dropping out - to translate each location's energy into tangible aesthetic form.
Whilst travelling this path, I was stopping at key locations and holding a kind of digital seance - an attempt at communication with whatever happened to be inhabiting the site. From trees to stone circles, each had something unique to say. These conversations with stones and sprites would guide the evening's manifestation.
Through an alchemical combination of fog machines, projectors, prisms, crystals, torches and floodlights, I attempted to channel each site's distinct personality into the visual spectrum, manifesting invisible frequencies within the realm of perception.
The ancestors have yet to register any complaints regarding these translations. I remain open to the possibility that my interpretations are themselves subject to interpretation, and likely incorrect.
