The collaboration extended into performance, with an invitation to VJ the Saturday night Coombe ambient stage. Drawing from my custom footage library, designed with a DJ's sensibility, I created a visual journey using stop-motion animations and crystal-refracted projections. Each element was crafted to align with specific musical moments, allowing for intuitive mixing that matched the organic evolution of the music.

These daytime installations and nocturnal performances, though different in execution, share a common thread: the translation of light into experience, whether through natural materials or digital means.

Since 2023, Above Below Festival has provided me with an annual canvas for multiple site-specific installations. Each piece explores the interplay between light, improvised calligraphic gestures, refraction, and natural materials - particularly focusing on felled wood, ink, and visual feedback loops.

The installations range from participatory experiences, like a tent where festival-goers create their own versions of the rainbow, to more contemplative pieces such as a tribal-inspired gate emerging from a stream at a key crossing point. Though varying in form, each work stems from a common source: the translation of ancient light symbols through natural elements.
