Fractal mathematics has always been a core inspiration in my artistic process - their patterns show up everywhere in reality, from the smallest to the largest scales.

The idea behind this project was wonderfully simple: if natural fractals like water and clouds can provide the most calming and mindful experiences a human can have, then capturing this essence and projecting it back onto itself should create a double-distilled feeling of tranquility.

Using a mixture of projectors, lights, prisms and motors, I created natural fractal video files that feel like watching waves wash up on a shore - rhythm and variation playing with each other into the eternal sunset. These projections dance across trees, bushes, rocks and waves, with fractals woven into every step of the process.

This slow chaos is then projected back onto trees and water, creating an evolving and interacting feedback loop of fractal energy in all dimensions.

Let's be real though - it's basically just a lovely experience to watch the idea of a tree get projected onto a tree by the observer of a tree in that golden meniscus between sunset and moonrise.
